About Tamiflu
USES: It is usually taken twice daily for five days. Oseltamivir may be taken with or without food. Oseltamivir can cause an upset stomach; you can lessen this side effect by taking oseltamivir with food. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor pharmacist to explain any part that you do not understand. Take oseltamamivir exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
Continue to take oseltamivir even if you start to feel better. Do not stop taking oseltamivir without talking to your doctor.
BEFORE USING: Some
medicines or medical conditions may interact with
this medicine. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of
all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that
you are taking. Inform your doctor of any other medical
conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding.
Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any
questions or concerns about taking this medicine.
PRECAUTIONS: Tamiflu will not stop you from giving the flu to others. You should maintain proper hygiene, wash your hands frequently, and avoid situations such as sharing cups and utensils that can spread the virus to others.
DO NOT EXCEED THE
RECOMMENDED DOSE or take this medicine for longer
than prescribed without checking with your doctor.
KEEP ALL DOCTOR AND LABORATORY APPOINTMENTS while
you are using this medicine. THIS MEDICINE MAY CAUSE
stomach bleeding. If you drink alcohol on a daily
basis, do not take this medicine without first discussing
it with your doctor. Alcohol use combined with this
medicine may increase your risk for stomach bleeding.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription
or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist.
This includes any medicines that contain aspirin,
ibuprofen, naproxen, or ketoprofen. FOR WOMEN: IF
YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor
the benefits and risks of using this medicine during
pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED
in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this
medicine.
SIDE EFFECTS: Although side effects from tamiflu are not common, they can occur. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:

difficulty sleeping

bronchitis

dizziness
NOTES: DO NOT SHARE THIS MEDICINE
with others for whom it was not prescribed. DO NOT
USE THIS MEDICINE for other health conditions. KEEP
THIS PRODUCT out of the reach of children. IF USING
THIS MEDICINE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, obtain
refills before your supply runs out.
