About Famvir

How To Use
ollow the directions for using Famvir provided by
your doctor. Famvir may be taken on an empty stomach
or with food. TO CLEAR UP YOUR INFECTION COMPLETELY,
continue taking Famvir for the full course of treatment,
even if you feel better in a few days. Do not miss
any doses. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF Famvir, take it as
soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next
dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular
dosing schedule. Do NOT take 2 doses at once.
Side Effects
SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include
headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or tiredness.
If they continue or are bothersome, check with your
doctor. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience
hallucinations, disorientation, or confusion. If you
notice other effects not listed above, contact your
doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
Precautions
If your symptoms do not improve within a few days
or if they become worse, check with your doctor. BEFORE
YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription
or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist.
IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS DRUG IS EXCRETED in breast milk.
DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking Famvir.
Drug Interactions
Drug interactions can result in unwanted side effects
or prevent a medicine from doing its job. Use our

Overdose
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison
control center or emergency room immediately.
Notes
Keep away from children and throw away any unused
drug after the expiration date. Wash hands before
and after application of medication.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, take it when you realize it. If
it’s almost time for the next dose, skip the
missed dose. Do not take a double dose to catch up.
Storage
Store Famvir at room temperature away from moisture.
